Game Introduction:

Fanorona Online brings the ancient Madagascar board game to your screen. Played on a 9x5 board with intersecting lines, each player starts with 22 pieces. White moves first, and the goal is to capture all opponent pieces. Players move pieces to adjacent empty intersections, with two move types: capturing and non-capturing. If a capturing move is possible, non-capturing moves are not allowed. Captures happen by approaching or withdrawing from an opponent piece. When captured, all opponent pieces along the same line and direction are removed unless interrupted. Successive captures are optional but cannot repeat a direction. This family-friendly game challenges strategic thinking and is safe for all ages.

How to Play:

To play Fanorona Online, click on a piece to select it, then click an adjacent empty intersection to move. If a capturing move is available, you must make it. Capture by moving next to an opponent piece (approach) or moving away from an adjacent opponent piece (withdrawal). After a capture, all opponent pieces in the same line and direction are also captured. You can make successive captures in the same turn, but not in the same direction as the previous capture. The game ends when all opponent pieces are captured. Remember, a point cannot be repeated in the same turn.
